It may be that he is "in" among the extravagantly pampered class. If he's built a client base among those with truly limitless buying power, then dealing with the stuff he's selling, and being fairly clueless about VOT's would make perfect sense.

I know that if my buying power were limitless, i'd be making an offer on those Westlakes. I have a pair of small Westlake monitors, they are the real deal.

They've got this turntable for $650,000! It has a built in microscope. Just out of curiosity, why would a turntable have a built in microscope? Will it play my grandpa's old 78's? Gives a whole new meaning to that Beck song "I got two turntables and a microphone".
